Didn’t get to everything, but one thing I did notice that I haven’t seen anyone else really mention: the kicking meter operated MUCH better than in 25. 25’s was laggy & sticky, so much to the point where I would have to wait up to 5 seconds before kicking. With how difficult kicking already was in the game, it just wasn’t ideal . Much smoother in the beta- so good hopes for it in 26. I’ve seen some chatter about the stunts & twists on d-line, and my experience with them was that I don’t think they ever worked. Went into instant replay quite often in actual gameplay & no instances showed stunts working. Pretty sure there was a note about this prior, but hopefully they are improved before release. A good amount of coach head selections when creating a coach for Dynasty were having the chest glitch through their shirt. Appreciated the team needs being at the top of the recruiting screen. Found it nearly impossible to find a 90+ speed DB in beta, but all ratings were a little lower in general for it from what I saw. All new archetypes seem like a pleasant change from 25’s basic selection of 3 per position group. Overall, gameplay did seem improved compared to 25. Hit sticks & tackling were MILES better, pursuit even making a case for that as well. My biggest complaint with 25 was player movement. While decent at times, I saw a comment somewhere last year saying that it was comparable to ice skaters gliding around on a field & I could never un-see or un-feel that afterwards. Can feel similar to 25 in moments, but definitely was a little better in my opinion. What I liked best were all the new plays (and hopefully formations). The passing modes will definitely define how you use your Qb. Even tho they were they last year they're slightly different in 26. I like the crowds in stands this year more active and interactions. The whole stadium atmosphere is more electric. The disappearing play clock numbers and noise combined is total chaos calling plays add another feel to the game. What I saw this year as well as last year's version was certain teams didn't have facemasks on all helmets this definitely has to be fixed. And as far as online rank competition CF needs the same capability as Madden being able to play H2H the regular way. I think 26 so far doesn't need much to be an improvement from 25. Game speed a little slower than CFB 25. Not terrible but would have liked to see it kept the same. Run game and ball carrier movement feels like Madden 25. Would have liked to see it stay the same as CFB 25 and more control with the left analog as far as faking defenders ( I.e. stop and go) too many dropped passes on contested catches. Too many dropped picks especially when you user the defender. A lot of passing overthrows when i was not pressured in or out of the pocket. Passing meter was green on these throws. Not sure if this was a rating thing or just user error. love the new plays on offense and defense loop blitzes still effective and I like how they incorporated stunts on the dline. First and foremost, I want to extend a heartfelt thank you to EA for selecting me to be a part of the College Football 26 Beta program. It’s an honor I don’t take lightly—especially as someone who has been playing college football video games since the Bill Walsh College Football days back in 1992-1993. To see how far the series has come is truly incredible. Having spent time with the Beta, I can confidently say the game feels more polished than ever. The gameplay is smooth, the visuals are sharp, and the attention to detail reflects a development team that genuinely listens to the community. It’s clear that the devs are making meaningful strides toward delivering a top-tier college football experience.I don’t have any major complaints. If I had to nitpick, I’d say the font size for some of the defensive adjustments—like stunts and twists—could be a bit larger for better visibility. But honestly, that’s a very minor issue in what feels like a strong, promising game. I truly believe College Football 26 is shaping up to be something special. Coaches shirts looking like they are torn at the collar. Playing against a triple option team, when blitzing in man-to-man my corner would line up at the sideline about 20 yards away from the rest of the formation. I simulated online dynasty for 30 seasons and towards the end it no longer would show my record as a coach. Really enjoyed the enhanced blocking mechanics and tackling feels great. I was busy so I didn't get much time on the beta to test . I attempted to play online dynasty with. PS5 user and could not get connected with the dynasty . I did however play several games a few against A.I and a few online , and I noticed the play action was possibly not tuned very well as the blocking was horrible . I tried about a dozen different play action plays and over 90% the blocks just broke completely let guy's right through untouched for the sack or the ball thrown into the ground if I was able to get it off. I hope the devs get this news from others as well and hopefully get it tuned up before release. As far as bug's go I didn't get enough time in to really clarify anything. The gameplay was much smoother running was much better I was able to follow blocks through zones and make quick cuts. The throwing was off I noticed a lot of drops probably over 60% easily and the long pass although I only attempted a handful of deep passes but all was under thrown by a big margin , the guy's I played with online was complaining about that deep ball issue as well. I was able to start up online dynasty and Xbox user joined we skipped ahead a couple seasons it worked fine but I never got into online dynasty with PS5 , however I had only made the one attempt that failed and I noted it and moved on. Sorry I was just busy when it dropped because I usually put in 50 plus hours on testing Madden and I didn't have that kind of time last weekend , so instead I only got about 6-7 hours worth of testing and that's just not significant when it comes to testing a beta for bug's. Hopefully they get another one in time before final game is released. I seen a lot of videos and reviews on the game after the beta and my advice is to take that with a grain of salt because these beta tests are so different from the final product it just can't be reviewed the same about the only thing I can say is that it plays smoother than 25 but it needs work and that's to be expected in these types of versions . There was no music or spectacular intros there's no real names in these players or coaches, the teams are scrambled so you won't have your favorite teams accurate overall it could be as low as a 0 star school , it's ball randomly scrambled so there's no type of real immersion, it's typically just a test game to play and looking for bug's and tuning issues and reporting it back.ninerfan05732 days agoSeasoned Newcomer40Views0likes0CommentsSimple little tweaks for some settings .
I would love a setting that would allow you to lock in whichever camera angle you prefer .. Your team style should have a bigger impact on recruiting. If I led the NCAA in Passing yards then I should be a bigger draw for WRs and QBs and adversely if I'm ranked at the bottom for rushing yards than I am less appealing for RBs and Power OL. Tweaks to this should also be made on defense. If I have the #1 ranked Pass Defense but I don't get a lot of INTs I don't think this would discourage DBs from my school. Great pass rushing almost always means better outcomes for DBs and they would know this. Also if I have a potential Heisman RB then generally that means I am more appealing to RBs but is he is a Sophomore then maybe RBs who want to start early aren't interested in my school because they don't want to sit the bench behind my stud for two years. Lastly what about improving the drafting based on performance? If my Sr. QB somehow wins the Heisman and he is an 82 OVR I doubt he would go undrafted. Same for RBs and WRs as well as TEs who put up monster numbers. If he is an 85 OVR but led the NCAA back to back years in receiving yards that should impact his draft stock. I will try not to be overly critical but EA sure makes it hard. So let's start; (Specifically offline Dynasty) Blocking animations. I will assume that when my LT just backs up and doesn't touch the DE who get's a sack on me in 2 seconds that your algorithm has determined that he got beat. OK fine, but can you make the animations not look like my All-American LT has taken a payoff? Have him stumble or engage slightly and get beat rather than just back up and watch me take a rib shot? Fix the FB. I got that we have evolved to throw almost every down, but some of us still play like we grew up with a running game and lead blockers. Now I understand that your people are way better at coding than running block but the FB usually has one job, lead blocking. Most teams have gotten rid of the position and few will make it to the NFL but those that exist you can bet are dedicated to what they do, so when I follow my lead blocker through the gap and he appears to dodge the LB so he can go ten yards deeper and hit the FS well that makes no sense. It spikes my blood pressure and makes me forget I'm too old for a tantrum. Please work on the blocking schemes and the animations. Have the FB get blown up or pushed aside if that is the outcome, but not just run away from the 1 man on the field he is trained to hit. Fix Blocking Logic. If I have two TEs that are very good run blockers and the Defense chooses to come at me in a 3-3 Defense well logically I should be able to run pretty well against this most of the time, and yet often my 5 OL will choose to double team the 3 down lineman effectively having 3 defenders neutralize 6 Offensive players resulting in my RB getting stuffed. That's as realistic as a Hollywood slasher movie. Fix this please. 3-3 works well against single back and spread type offense and can help against the scrambling QB, but against traditional Pro style offense running heavy it is ineffective leading in easy 5 to 7 yard gains often. QB passing and Interceptions - I know this is a sensitive subject for you and apparently something tougher to crack than the Enigma machine but let's start with the basics. On 90% of the throws the QB will want to throw in front of the receiver, to where he is going. The DB is usually reacting to the route and therefore is almost always just behind the receiver so logically the LAST place the QB will want to throw is low and behind because that is where the DB is and yet I struggle even with good QBs to avoid this. I am prepared to overthrow in place of underthrow but guess what happens. I don't know what you need to do to fix this but I would suggest a field trip to an area college and watch them. That way you can understand that at the D1 level almost all QBs are really good at what they do and will overthrow FAR more often than underthrow a receiver. Balance of the Trap Game. This one needs work and I don't know how you do it as you have struggled for years. When I want a more challenging game I want the defenders to play better not for my people to be worse. The feel of the game is that the AI for the CPU team is blatantly cheating to make the game more competitive. Dropped passes on 3rd down, Penalties, Interceptions returned for 6, missed blocks and a load of blatant BS makes the game intolerable. I get that sometimes the trap game happens where Alabama goes to play LA Tech and struggles or is even upset but it is rare not 4 or 5 times a season. The last game I played on 2025 I had 12 dropped passes to 29 receptions. The actual rate of drops to catches is about 9% to 11%. Not 35% to 40%. When this happens I'm not having much fun. Also is seems the sliders have little affect on these trap games. You can do better and I wish you would. Make it more Football Like. The commentators bring up real things that don't seem to have anything to do with the game other than some ear candy but you should listen. Running the Ball does wear out defenders. Also playcall choices should matter. If I run a single back set and pass from it 8 times in a row why is it on the next play when I call a run the defense is stacked in the box? Seems like you are cheating to create difficulty instead of simulating football. PLAY DESIGNER. Back in the annuls of EA past some Legends of programming cracked the god code that allowed players to design and save there on plays! I know that is impossible but I saw it myself. The secrets were lost in the Black Fallout of 2006 when game football died, but certainly you are up to the challenge of recreating something from that ancient era. It could be simple set routes, but I hate calling hot routes every play to get players to do what I want them to do. Find some of those 50 year olds they may still recall the mysterious capability I speak of. You can do it. As a community nothing pees in your corn flakes more than a WR, Jumping when he should of just ran under the ball. Also not being able to control your WR after click on. You should be able to control an speed burst just as the defense does when clicking into a DB. Please make Rac catches or catchers keep their momentum and cut up the field on in/out routes turn up the field on comeback/stop routes. The beta for EA College Football 26 really should have been longer. For a game that fans had a long list of request from, a short beta window just isn’t enough time to get a real feel for the gameplay, test different modes, or provide meaningful feedback. Players need more than a few days to explore mechanics, spot bugs, and help the developers fine-tune the experience before launch. Can we please have the option to edit the appearance computer generated players in offline dynasty. it really kills immersion having all white running backs and black punters galore and don’t get me started on the names which are beyond ridiculous. if total editing is somehow in violation legally, how about giving us a random generator for appearance and names. everything else I’ve heard about cfb 26 sound awesome,danishram5 days agoNew Traveler51Views4likes1Comment
