Weekly weapons Scrap Exchange updates
I have calculated the theoretical amout of scraps you would need if every item would appear in the weekly exchange and you could buy it that way. Amount of scraps needed by category and total: 10.000 x 17 = 170.000 2.000 x 195 = 390.000 800 x 262 = 209.600 300 x 372 = 111.600 TOTAL x 846 = 881.200 Puzzles are NOT taken into account here! Meaning the number would be higher still. But since you tend to get all pieces over time with the OP Battlepacks I excluded them from here. At least without the special rare melee weapons which are otherwise unobtainable like the Ararebo, Coupe Coupe, Arditi Dagger(still unobtainable, has never been seen in the exchange) and Barbed Wire Bat If we assume the average loot per day looks like this we roughly get 1k scraps every day 30+90+270 & 90+270+270 = 1020/day Now that we have the total amount of scraps needed and a rough estimate on the average loot based on personal experience from over 1 year of daily grinding we can calculate how many days of grinding we need to earn the necessary scraps to be able to buy every skin in the game which looks like this: 881.200/1020 = 863.922 days This accumulates to this timeframe of DAILY grinding needed to earn every skin in the game: 2 years 4 months ~2 weeks (11 days) Again, this is assuming all skins where available in the exchange which is far from the case making the situation even worse. This timeframe is unacceptable for a AAA game you paid over 100€ for at release, me included. Some free2play games involve less grinding than this just to earn some textures. I understand that there was monetary incentive behind making the game intentionally grindy (though I still find this practice to be in a AAA game unacceptable by principle) to boost Battlepack sales. But this game is almost 8 years old now and I really doubt you're making anywhere close to the amount of money compared to the release period. Meaning there is no more incentive to make this game intentionally grindy anymore. My suggestion would be to either remove the daily limit of Operation Battlepacks, increase the limit from 2 to something like 4 or 5 per day or have them drop 2 or 3 crates instead of 1 at a time. Unlike currently this is much more respectful of the players time. Money is one thing but to disrespect the players time to this extent when we know that everyones time is limited both in daily terms and total just so you get some textures is ridiculous. Due to the age of the game please reconsider the current way of earning scraps to make it more tolerable. I've come too far to give up now but most people don't have this patience. Me included (for future or other games) since this will be the last game I'll grind this much for. If the next Battlefield turns out to be this grindy I'll really think twice before buying something which doesn't respect anyones time. Thanks in advance, hope to see some changes to this system!eduonkhl3 hours agoSeasoned Adventurer23KViews8likes3632Commentsactivate your game error
Hello, I bought the Battlefield 1 game but every time I try to open the game it gives me this error. I deleted it and reinstalled it. It didn't work. UPDATE: I managed to get a normal crash rather than a full system freeze. Go on registry editor, at HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Control\GraphicsDrivers and make sure TdrLevel registry key is set to Decimal 3. If there is no "TdrLevel" create a new DWORD value, set Decimal and set to 3. Then restart your PC. My crash message looks like this now: DirectX Error DirectX function "GetDeviceRemovedReason" failed with DXGI_ERROR_DEVICE_HUNG. GPU: "", Driver: "25.5.1 (25.10.01.09-250425a-415182C-AMD-Software-Adrenalin-Edition)". This error is usually caused by the graphics driver crashing; try installing the latest drivers. Also, make sure you have a supported graphics card with at least 1024 MB of VRAM. This doesn't solve the issue since the game is still causing crashes but at least it solves the hard freeze. By opening Event Viewer I can see more info about the crashes: Faulting application name: bf1.exe, version: 1.0.0.0, time stamp: 0x67924d43 Faulting module name: bf1.exe, version: 1.0.0.0, time stamp: 0x67924d43 Exception code: 0x80000003 Fault offset: 0x00000000002eaedd Faulting process id: 0x0x4B20 Faulting application start time: 0x0x1DBCF6301395123 Faulting application path: D:\SteamLibrary\steamapps\common\Battlefield 1\bf1.exe Faulting module path: D:\SteamLibrary\steamapps\common\Battlefield 1\bf1.exe Report Id: 06c26cb6-f765-4768-a57c-b442d5ae6366 Faulting application name: EADesktop.exe, version: 13.468.0.5981, time stamp: 0x6827adff Faulting module name: libGLESv2.dll, version: 2.1.19909.0, time stamp: 0x63ced377 Exception code: 0xc0000409 Fault offset: 0x00000000004b7c55 Faulting process id: 0x0x17A8 Faulting application start time: 0x0x1DBCF62F3565FC5 Faulting application path: C:\Program Files\Electronic Arts\EA Desktop\EA Desktop\EADesktop.exe Faulting module path: C:\Program Files\Electronic Arts\EA Desktop\EA Desktop\libGLESv2.dll Report Id: f554f8e7-f1e1-48c4-8a62-97e481b7dd00 Faulting application name: bf1.exe, version: 1.0.0.0, time stamp: 0x67924d43 Faulting module name: KERNELBASE.dll, version: 10.0.22621.5331, time stamp: 0xe44cbdc8 Exception code: 0x887a0006 Fault offset: 0x00000000000601dc Faulting process id: 0x0x7364 Faulting application start time: 0x0x1DBCF6504D7C504 Faulting application path: D:\SteamLibrary\steamapps\common\Battlefield 1\bf1.exe Faulting module path: C:\Windows\System32\KERNELBASE.dll Report Id: 330ebf06-1e99-453a-8e99-b0fe46728003 These were generated from 2 different crashes, first 2 errors on one crash, the second on another crash. Last crash it seems kernelbase.dll crashed bf1, which still suggests the anti-cheat is at fault here. Below you have the original post with the previous edits: I am experiencing this issue on BF1. As far as I've seen across the forums, the same anti cheat system was installed on BF V as well, and plenty of similar posts across the forums for both of the games. It has to do with the new anti-cheat system. I've played for 200 hours (stopped a few months ago, before the new anti-cheat update) and when I started playing again yesterday I can get in a game, and within a few minutes to a few dozen minutes the game will literally freeze (audio continues to work for a while), i can move my mouse around on the frozen bf1 game but I am unable to do any command (alt+tab, ctrl+alt+delete, windows+tab, ctrl+shift+win+b, alt+f4 etc), literally nothing. After a little while my mouse stops working too , audio cuts off and my PC is left in a frozen state, on the last frame of the battlefield game right before the freeze. This has to do with the crap anti cheat system that works at a kernel level. Perhaps it has to do with certain CPU architectures and it not being optimized for all. My system specs are: AMD Ryzen 9 7950X AMD 7900 XTX G.Skill 64 GB RAM 6000Mhz BF1 is the only game that does this. I've also noticed I am having stutters in the game, especially the minutes before having a crash. I tried every type of fix like setting my power plan to balanced (popular fix online - doing this allowed my to have my longest session of like 20-30 minutes i think, but still crashed my PC), updating the anti cheat system from its tool .exe, removing the anti cheat files and verifying integrity on steam, trying to run on compatibility mode, running the CPU on one CCD, etc) and no luck. It's clearly the problem is from the new update and since the new update introduced a new anti cheat system and the crash seems to be a kernel-level type of crash since it requires a hard reset of the whole PC, I think we have the answer -> faulty anti cheat system, possibly on the ryzen architecture CPUs, mine being AM5. EA, I am tired of trying fixes and I will stop trying fixes since I have hard rebooted my PC at least 5 times trying to fix your faulty update. Get this sorted ASAP. EDIT: Based on the comments, it looks like there are plenty others with Intel PCs that have the same problems as well. It seems that it happens on both Intel and AMD CPUs as well as both NVIDIA and AMD GPUs. This enforces the idea that it is the anti-cheat that is causing the crash but it widens the search for the problem within the anti-cheat since it's no longer AM4/AM5 only. Harder for the devs, but at least we know it's not our PCs/drivers. The behavior seems to be a bit different depending on each case: some people have the same symptoms as me, others nearly the same but it ends with a BSOD, others have a freeze for a few seconds but PC recovers rather than crashing. EDIT 2: It seems that the anti-cheat is causing the GPU drivers to hard-crash at the kernel level therefore freezing the PC. Looks like it happens on a very different mix of platforms, different amd&intel&nvidia combos. If you have the same problem try stating what apps u have open as well, the ones running in the background too. Maybe it's an overlay issue or idk...Kayl0n23 hours agoNew Traveler1.6KViews5likes71CommentsBattlefield 1,4 and 5 not working.
Hello! I have Battlefield 1, 4 and 5, but I can't open any of them. Battlefield 1 and 4 give me a 'failed to start' error. Battlefield 5 won't open at all. However, Battlefield 2042 and other EA games work fine. I'll list all the methods I've tried so far. I deleted all the games and reinstalled them. I uninstalled and reinstalled EA Play. I uninstalled the EA app using Revo Uninstaller. I deleted the drivers using DDU and reinstalled them. I updated all my drivers. I reinstalled and repaired EA Anti-Cheat. I have installed all Windows updates. All versions of Runtime and .Net are installed. My BIOS version is up to date. My date and time settings are correct. However, the most interesting thing is that when I create a guest user on Windows, all the games open. I don't want to reformat the computer because of this ridiculous error.IMeteI2 days agoRising Newcomer83Views0likes1CommentBattlefield and Battlefront... cant even run
Bought Battlefield and Battlefront... cant even run them, says my drivers need to be updated, since i apperently have version 0.0 istalled. Every other game in existence work fine, but nope not the games run by EA. I tried reinstalling my drivers, since that seemed to be the problem, oh but what a suprise, it still doesnt work. So Kudos to EA for not being able to do the only thing they should be good at... having playable games, kinda ironic dont you think, i mean... you know, having a game company that cant even recognize up to date drivers so that people arent able to play the game they bought. I guess the thing in my attachment makes more sense now huh. [Title edit - CM]4ot0q1hguf632 days agoSeasoned Newcomer41Views0likes3CommentsAbout Class system for next game
Dear DICE I understand that you see making weapons accessible to all classes as a more suitable approach to help more players adapt to the game. However, weapon options being fixed to specific classes is one of the core foundations that shape the identity of the game. The biggest factor that defines the roles and tactics of classes is the limitation of weapons. From a technical standpoint, this is a mistake, and from a marketing perspective, it is also a misguided strategy. In terms of marketing, the priority should be to protect the core Battlefield community. The core fanbase will always be present in the game. As long as you keep the fan players engaged, the new players will naturally follow once they see an active and lively community. However, if you only focus on new players, it may seem like a good idea at first, but eventually, you’ll see both the core fanbase and the new players decline. This decision is extremely important for the fate of Battlefield. Please reconsider before the release and don’t discourage people by taking away what they love. Restrict weapons so that each class uses a unique set of weapons.Foverin2 days agoSeasoned Novice73Views4likes4CommentsAny way to dispute a Fairfight ban?
i tried to play bf4 today after a month of not playing but i kept getting the error "you lost connection to the server" so i decided to try to launch through battlelog but it gave me the error that i was banned by fairfight which is kinda silly since ive been playing the game since 2019 and stopped for a bit before getting back on since 2023 and gotten decent with the forgotten weapons that isnt aek and g18 i even checked my bf4db to see if anything was out of the ordinary but not really, out of everything i only been banned by fairfight and i dont even know the reason idk if its my K:D ratio(silly if you can go 100 kills in a attack chopper per round) i dont even know if its based around accuracy? the only weapon i say i seem to be best at aiming in infantry maps is the scar h and as val at medium range since i just let recoil get headshots for me sometimes, idk if it can trigger from exploits(the only thing i can recall is that we had a cheater in a match of locker and at C suddenly i just appeared under the map to fall forever idk if that counted as "out of bounds") kinda sucks they just can thanos snap you out of existence and just well thats it rip my 5$ but then again does that mean im free of the curse of battlefield? yet i crave it since i cannot get the same feeling in any other game.FunDoesntExist2 days agoRising Newcomer32Views0likes1CommentHow to get M1911 in bf3 2025 (on PC)?
Hello everyone! I'm having trouble unlocking the M1911 in Battlefield 3. To get this pistol, you need Veteran status (meaning you must own a Battlefield game released before BF3). But the problem is: BF2, BFBC2, and BF1943 are no longer available for purchase on EA's official website. BF Heroes is also no longer accessible. I have BF3, BF4, and BF1 on my account, but these don’t grant Veteran status. This means I can’t access content I technically paid for. I’ve contacted EA Help multiple times, but they refuse to help me. I’m one of the few players who still genuinely love and play BF3. So, I wanted to ask: Is there any way to get the M1911 or Veteran status? Should I contact someone else at EA? Maybe a specific department or person? Has anyone found a solution to this issue? Thanks in advance for any help!Solved24Views0likes1CommentMore software flagged by the new anticheat
So there I was, wanting to play a match or two of 2042. After 2 weeks of dealing with the brand new EA Javelin Anticheat flagging AutoHotKey, I was already sort of done with the game, but lo and behold, a new issue is on the horizon. This time, the anticheat decides to pick on, presumably, Daemon Tools software by Disc Soft LTD (as seen in the attached screenshot). This means I cannot launch the game whatsoever, even with the workaround mentioned in the AutoHotKey post from a few weeks ago BF1 thinking AutoHotKey is running | EA Forums - 12163902 I have used both of the above-mentioned programs for years alongside many online games, and there is little to no reason for them to be preventing me from playing really any game. I am going to be honest, I can't be bothered to spend an hour on chat with support only to not solve anything, but I've still wanted to raise this issue, at least in this waySolvedP0kys2 days agoSeasoned Newcomer569Views1like6CommentsUpcoming Battlefield...
Dear Dice... As a long time fan, I beg for the upcoming Battlefield to feel gritty, cinematic and enjoyable. We should NOT be able to change our soldier's looks. They are a soldier, not a barbie doll... customization should only be conducted in tasteful weapon and vehicle skins (Mind you, I say tasteful) Shouldn't the point be to make money off of the millions of copies sold, rather than release $25.99 skins tacked on as "content"? I much rather the battlepack system, as it felt rewarding to get a cool skin for a gun you like or a puzzle piece for a melee weapon, rather than just buying it for an absurd price. There is a reason why BF1 is still one of the most played and beloved Battlefield games to date, it avoided all of the scummy modern day gaming practices. 95% of the elements about that game were accurate, and when they were not accurate, at least it was 10x more plausible than whatever BFV was... The players want to have fun in an immersive cinematic experience filled with destruction. We want squad support, detailed environments, polished graphics... and a class system! Why should I have to guess if my teammate has ammo, or health, or anti-vehicle/infantry items... I should be able to see their icon and shout to them "I need ammo/health (etc)!" not just pray they have it... the game should feel realistic and grounded, but not at the cost of fun. I feel like Battlefield V was a turning point, where the direction felt... off... it felt like a random studio tried to make a Battlefield game, rather than an actual product of Dice and EA. Don't even get me started on Firestorm... I hope someone there at Dice stumbles upon an ex-Devs formula sheet for Battlefield 1 in a random drawer somewhere, that includes the magic elements they used to make an incredible game... so everyone can refer to it while production continues into the next installment. From a business perspective, BF1 sold 15 million copies... BFV at 7 million... and 2042 at just only 4 million... if I were the one calling the shots, I'd do whatever to get back that same feel because that's a substantial loss... While I'm sure most fans don't have high expectations, I'm still hopeful. But I think I can speak for most players that this will be our last straw if it does not deliver.TheHorney3 days agoRising Newcomer35Views1like0CommentsThank you for preventing me from playing your games

Hi, for approximately 2 years i am witnessing that bug. This is a bug that makes Attack Heli's Gunner Shot his own heli with his TV missile just in the time that he/she presses to "fire" button. TV missile shots left wing of the attack heli and kills the gunner with exploding his own attack heli with him. Pilot remains alive and unharmed during that moment and tries to figure out what happened. I wonder why that bug still exists actually. I have died so many times during attack heli PVPs because of that bug. It ruines the game.Solved732Views2likes4CommentsPortable laser designator = guaranteed death
Hi! I feel that Portable laser designator in Battlefield 4 is always guaranteed death to the user when they utilise it. It has some sort of indicator telling location of spotter which ain't good thing. How you are supposed to keep target painted if vehicle gunner can take you out just by looking at direction of indicator? May I suggest a new feature in Portal for the future? When we set up our own servers allow Server creators to add bots by a name search or friends list. The (** AI clone a real player**) feature would create the player (AI) using the current stats and options that a real player (in the community data base) uses to create a unique bot to play against in a server. A server creator then can save the player to populate his own server. Server creators can change, delete or add cloned players anytime to keep a local data bank of AI players. When the game syncs to the cloud then the player clones can update or change to current real player setups. Just a thought to change things up a bit.SolvedKnightFury685 days agoSeasoned Veteran14Views0likes1CommentBattlefield 1 & Battlefield V can't connect to EA servers
Around a week ago, I received an email from EA about suspicious activity on my account, and I reset my password as instructed. Ever since, both Battlefield 1 and Battlefield V on my PS5 no longer connect to EA servers. The games simply keep trying to connect to EA online without success, no matter how many times I try. On one night it did connect after around 3 hours of repeated attempts, but since then it hasn't connected again. I have tested multiple PSN and EA accounts, reinstalled both BF1 and BFV, rebuilt PS5 database, deleted local save files and software cache, changed DNS and tried different networks, restored licenses, and I have tried resetting my password multiple times after that. Other online games are working fine and my friend in Turkey connects instantly to BF1 (not a general server issue) Has anyone else seen connection issues like this after resetting their EA password? Could this be related in some way? Is there something else I might be missing? I’ve contacted EA Support already but haven’t gotten a clear answer yet64Views5likes4CommentsOpinion on Class System
With the discussion about class system on full swing, I think it's good time to leave my thought with it. I haven't look at any leaks so I mostly based from the blog post and my experience from playing older titles. Is the initial idea from the blog post really that bad? No...but it could be better. From what I heard so far, It seems we're stuck with Assault, Engineer, Support and Recon again. In 2042, I found Assault simply being killing machine with no actual role. I think Assault, Medic, Support and Recon in Battlefield 1/V did it better. I would actually ask for Tanker and Pilot class to come back too. Weapon restriction? Yes, I want it. I would go further with abolish the carbines, shotguns and DMRs as all-kit weapon and give it to the class that fit with the playstyle instead. Assault seems to being big issue here as people don't want them to get the most versatile/easy to use weapon (Assault rifles) with the ability to heal themselves like Battlefield 3 and 4. So what they should do now? In Battlefield 1 and V, they have the duty to deal with vehicles but since people really insist to having Engineer in the game, now they're in tough situation. My friend suggest to give them ammunition-related role like Bad Company 2 and I found it being a good opportunity to test in Battlefield Labs. The Classes: Assault - Medic - Support - Recon - Tanker - Pilot (and Engineer if everyone still resist) Primary weapon: Restrict the weapon type to each class. What we have right now in 2042 (Proficiency) and assuming it act as "Signature Weapon" bonus in the new game is not really giving incentive enough to use it. Namely the LMGs for Engineer ans SMGs for Support. Comparing to Assault that get 3 more magazines which look like an "actual" benefit. Secondary weapon: I found Hardline approach to be interesting but being all kits like the usual is fine too. Gadgets: I love that Engineer in 2042 always have Repair Tool in dedicated slot. I also think locking the type of gadget to each slot like Battlefield 3 and V is a better idea than "pick whatever you want" from Battlefield 4 and 1. Class should have identity and giving average player what to expect from them. If you see Support in Battlefield 3/V, they always able to resupply rather than "nah, I ditch it for gadget that can kill enemies" or Assault from Battlefield 4 that ditch Med or Defib for grenade launcher. Repair Tool and Defib likely act as "Signature Gadget" already but I still need more information or gadgets list before I can judge it. Grenade: Having unique type of grenade tailored to each class sound nice. You may curious why Tanker and Pilot should exist. I just want them to stick with their vehicle than using it as taxi to access some area. You can give shoulder-fired launcher to Pilot so they can RendeZook or whatever they want but I found Battlefield got more benefits from restriction (and rock/paper/scissors balance) than the so called "sandbox", which can be interpret in many different ways. Training and Signature Trait are a bit interesting. I guess it work like Upgrade Path from Battlefield 4? That's all for now. Looking forward to more detail!LamicroszX5 days agoNew Scout80Views0likes6Comments
