So i recently have been try to play sims 3 on my Mac. And every time I tried it crashes. It works long enough during when I'm creating my sim. As soon as I start game play it crashes. I have tried using the repair button, and uninstalling it then installing it again and nothing works. It runs Sims 4 perfectly fine. I looked it up and other people are able to play and I can't figure out what's wrong with mine.
ScarletTurtles What world(s) are you playing in, and does it help to play in Sunset Valley instead? Which expansions do you currently have installed?
Please also post the full specs of your Mac: everything under About This Mac including the OS and except for the serial number.
I was playing in sunset valley I didn't try any of the other ones. I only have late night and high loft.

ScarletTurtles Try switching Advanced Rendering off, if it's on, or vice versa. Strangely, I've had mixed reports about whether it should be on or off for best performance on your class of Mac.
You can also try turning Lighting and Tree Detail to their lowest settings. And you can do one at a time if you prefer, so you don't have to compromise the graphics more than necessary.
When changing the graphics options, do so at the Main Menu, then quit to desktop before loading a save.
By the way, any sims you've created and managed to save, which happens automatically when you leave Create a Household and land back on the map, should still be available in the in-game bin. So you don't have to recreate the ones you made already.
