Garden Warfare 1 is refusing to launch

whenever launching GW1 the EA App says "preparing game" and then sends me back to my library and I want to know how to fix it. I've tried searching around for information and have found nothing.

so far I've tried:

installing the Directx installer found in the games folder along with the visual C++

Repairing the game files

reinstalling the game

restarting my computer

I last played the game 2 months ago on another EA account (i had rebought the game on this account) and it was working fine at the time so i cannot think of what could be wrong

    Hi @Rioma_1,

    I'm really sorry to hear that you're unable to launch PVZ GW. If you're not getting any error messages and the game is stuck on preparing, there might be a program conflicting with the game or EA app, which is preventing it from functioning properly, or there might be some issue with the permissions. 

    I suggest that you try a Clean Boot to make sure there are no programs running in the background that could be causing this: How to clean or safe boot your computer

    If a clean boot doesn't fix the problem, please try running the game and the EA app as administrator. 

    Let us know how that goes,

    @Rioma_1 I got the same issue, and I tried changing the language, and somehow it got fixed.

    I don't believe that this'll fix your problem, but give it a try.

    There was another program that was conflicting with the game, which I didnt realise I had installed still, the game is working now

    i'm having the same issue and I did both the clean boot and setting the ea app as administrator and the game still will not launch. i've been trying to get this game to work for 5 days now and it still will not launch

    yea same for me and i am not sure why this is happening, ive tried clean booting the game, running it in a different language, running it as administrator, running in origin, but still nothing is working.

    nope it just closes the app for a second and re opens after
